Rustburg, VA - Dynamic Testing, Inc.

Dynamic Testing (DTI) was established in 1983 to conduct underwater shock and vibration tests for mission-critical equipment installed on U.S. Navy combatants. DTI has the capability to conduct shock qualification tests in accordance with MIL-S-901D (Navy) for equipment weighing up to 125,000 pounds. In 2004, DTI was purchased by NTS. NTS Rustburg maintains a state-of-the-art data acquisition system capable of monitoring a wide range of shock-induced response parameters.

NTS Rustburg is a full spectrum test and research facility capable of managing your environmental test requirements, including MIL-S-901D high impact, heavyweight shock testing and MIL-STD-167-1 vibration testing.

We also offer a full line of shock isolators – the DTI-Shock Mount – in a variety of sizes to meet your design needs. The DTI-Shock Mount has been designed and tested to provide isolation of your equipment from the shipboard environment.

NTS Rustburg is located in Rustburg, Virginia, 4 miles south of Lynchburg and 3 hours from Washington, DC. The complex includes engineering facilities, equipped offices and conference rooms, a vibration test building, a fabrication and assembly complex, explosive magazines, instrumentation lab, and staging area. The large test basin (1,800 feet long, 200 feet wide, and up to 130 feet deep) is serviced by a 75-ton, stiff-legged derrick with easy access on and off the barges from shore.
